Face only vs Whole person: which dance video mode should you choose?

Compare face replacement and whole-person transformation for Dime Dime Baby dance videos, including what to preserve and which photo to upload.

Choose Face only to keep the reference look

Face only is intended for a recognizable performance with a different face. The creative goal is to preserve the reference dancer’s body, clothing and surroundings.

Use a clear portrait with an unobstructed face. Even lighting and a forward-facing angle provide a more useful reference than a distant group shot. This mode makes sense when the original outfit and scene are part of the joke or performance you want to keep.

Choose Whole person to bring your own outfit

Whole person uses more of your source photo: the face, hairstyle and clothing. It is intended for a dance that resembles your own look rather than only changing the reference performer’s face.

For a reference with visible footwork, upload a full-body image with hands and feet in frame. A plain background can make the subject easier to distinguish. Avoid expecting an unseen outfit or hidden body parts to be reproduced exactly.

A reference guides movement, not a guaranteed result

Both modes are creative directions. Identity, hands, clothing details and motion can vary with the photo and the video model. Whole-person generation can also change parts of a scene; it should not be treated as a frame-perfect replacement.

Compare the reference framing with your photo before choosing a mode. Hands Up is focused on the upper body, while Classic Party shows more of the dancer’s legs and movement across the floor.

What you can try in the studio today

Select a mode, add a photo and preview the dance. After signing in, review the settings and credit cost, then generate your video. The model follows the reference movement and produces a silent video. Add music when publishing; exact identity and movement are not guaranteed.

The selected mode and template stay with your saved draft. Open My videos to restore it, then reattach the photo to continue.
